The EU Deforestation Regulation requires the location of every plot of origin. Benventario records each producer’s plots, links them at receiving and traces any export lot back – with each plot’s proportional quantity.

In the cloud
Nothing to install: open the app on your phone or computer. Updates and backups included.
Local server
A small computer (Raspberry Pi) at the mill, for places with a weak signal. It runs on the mill’s Wi-Fi; backup and the producer portal go over the internet whenever there is a connection.
DATA SECURITY
Your data is yours – and it is protected.
Deliveries, prices, wages and plots are sensitive information. Benventario protects it from day one – in the cloud, in a way that not even we can read it.
END-TO-END ENCRYPTION
In the cloud – and no one can read your data. Not even us.
Names and contact details of producers and staff, ID numbers, staff photos and plot coordinates are encrypted right on your phone. Only your devices and your emergency sheet hold the key. Our server holds nothing but unreadable text – even during a support case.
Only numbers without names stay readable – quantities, lots, moisture – so that stock, reminders and reports keep working. The Excel file and the GeoJSON for the EUDR are generated, decrypted, on your device.

Access only with permission
Everyone signs in with their own user and sees only what their role allows. Staff wages and ID numbers are visible only with the “Staff” permission.
Administrators use passkeys
Administrators sign in with fingerprint or face – no password that could be stolen. Passwords are stored encrypted; the PIN locks after 5 attempts.
Encrypted backup every night
The copy is encrypted at the mill with a password only you know. Not even the backup server can read it. Restoring is tested every week.
Support gets in only if you allow it
Benventario’s support access shows no data until you enable it – for a limited time, and every lookup is logged. Even then we see no names – personal data stays encrypted.
Each producer sees only their own
In the portal, each producer signs in with their link and PIN. Whatever you hide – the hulling result, for example – never even leaves the server.
